# VH-109 FRC Radio

Radios must be updated to at least 1.3.0 for use at official 2025 FIRST FRC events.

Radios distributed within the 2025 FIRST FRC Kit of Parts (KoP) were shipped with the 1.1.2 firmware installed. A firmware update to at least 1.3.0 is required.

\
Devices manufactured since June 2024 include the flashed firmware version on the product regulatory sticker found on the box.

The Vivid-Hosting VH-109 radio is the next generation FIRST FRC radio.&#x20;

* Unfiltered power input capable
* Ruggedized for demanding FIRST FRC robots
* Configurable Passive Power over Ethernet outputs (Selectable Output via DIP switches, disabled by default) for powering downstream devices
* Based on Wi-Fi 2.4G 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax for a modern, superior wireless experience
